Caerleon Roman Fotress

Caerleon Roman Fortress also called - the ‘ fortress of the Legion.’ The fort is massive covering 50 acres and rectangular in shape.  It has an Amphitheater, as well as several fortification ditches and walls. In the forts heyday it was used by more than 7,000 soldiers.

It was first occupied in cAD75 by Sextus Julius Frontinus who built the fort under the instruction by Romain Emperor Vespasian.
