Wylam Railway Museum

Wylam is the birthplace of George Stephenson, the father of the railways. Your motorhome trip could include a trip to his birthplace cottage, and a trip to Wylam’s railway museum.

The Railway Museum is a small Museum, in a former classroom in the old village school, now known as the Falcon Centre. The displays include the famous local railway pioneers, George Stephenson, William Hedley, Timothy Hackworth and Nicholas Wood and the Wylam Colliery waggonway. Check their website for opening times and more information.
