Alloa Tower

Dating from the 1300s, Alloa Tower is one of the largest surviving medieval tower houses. Of special interest are the original oak roof beams, medieval groin vaulting, a pit dungeon and the original internal well.

Abingdon County Hall

This 17th-century building housed the Assize Courts, which judged the more serious crimes such as murder.
Now it is home to the Abingdon Museum and is an English Heritage property.
